I got mine in the mail just a week after I ordered them and I am so excited to read them! I suspect I’ll be listening to one on my hikes around England during the next couple of weeks. If you love all things Biblical archaeology AND if you love Biblical ACCURACY, I think you’ll love these books. It’s the first of May and now we finally get this great convo.

This was supposed to have come out near the end of March, but alas and alack… no internet. Well, I’d say five… six… seven, but at least we know we’re getting five, thanks to this great chat with Doug. What Would You Like Better Than an Archaeological Thriller? Four? Note: links may be affiliate links that provide me with a small commission at no extra expense to you. When he said, “Think about it like Dan Brown only accurate,” I knew I’d found a series for me! Listen in to see how a graphic designer/songwriter became an apologist and novelist! At least I got his Graham Eliot series ordered before it was too late! WHEW! So I got to chat with an apologist who decided to write archaeological thrillers. When I chatted with Doug Powell at the end of February, I had no idea that it would be the last day I’d have internet… for a month. Set in three time periods–the rapid change of Victorian England, the tumultuous skies over England’s eastern shores in WWII, and modern-day–The Painted Castle unfolds a legacy of faith, family, and stories that are generations in the making.

This one could be a twin-a painting so close in composition to a known masterpiece, it may be rendered priceless if it truly captured the likeness of a young Queen named Victoria. Then, Kiera finds the existence of a portrait captivating enough to up-end all of her expectations. But from the moment she sets foot in the East Suffolk countryside, the mysteries surrounding the old English manor and the enigmatic art thief who’s employed her stir more questions than answers. It was supposed to be a one-week job: survey an art find, collect a hefty fee and use that to settle historian Kiera Foley’s life back into balance. The Painted Castle About the Bookīestselling author Kristy Cambron concludes the Lost Castle novels with this sweeping tale of art and secrets long buried in England. Go see what they had to say and have a great day! I’ll be back with my double coppers as soon as I possibly can. In the meantime, this is what intrigued me about it, and at the end of the post is a list of awesome bloggers who actually did get to read the book. What does that mean? Sorry, but no review yet. Since I didn’t expect to be gone for SIX WEEKS, I left it there. Before I left Ridgecrest, I got a book I’ve been anxious to read since I read the last “castle book” by Kristy Cambron.
